You might be wondering, "is that it???".  But once you start you will realise that it does take time and effort to learn new songs from scratch, especially if you've never done it before!

Remember that you are not all singing the melody.  You will be learning to sing Soprano (high), Alto (middle), Tenor (low for the ladies and high for the men) and even Bass (really low) parts.  So it will take time and will be challenging.  But it will also be lots of fun.  Songs will be chosen according to the ability of the group.

For the Gospel Choir Workshops we will cover songs by Gospel artists such as Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton and New Breed, Martha Munizzi, Cindy Ratcliffe Cruise and many others!

For the A Cappella Workshops songs taught will be a mixture of Negro Spirituals and Choruses.  They will also be songs arranged by me to help people sing in harmony without even realising it.  We will sing "Call and Response" songs and "Rounds".  These types of songs are easy fun ways for people to learn how to sing parts independently and along side other parts without getting confused. In amongst all this I like to throw in a few tips on how to get the best out of your voice as well.

For more advanced groups we can challenge ourselves with 4 - 8 part harmony songs, which will take longer and will be more challenging, but ever so much more rewarding when you finally get to perform them.

The icing on the cake is being able to perform the songs we've just learnt either to friends and family or to the public.
